Shadowrun Returns on peli, joka ei ainakaan täällä Lehtosilla kaipaa lisää hypetystä. A) Se on Shadowrun-peli, B) sitä kehittää koko pelimaailman isä ja C) tiimi on aiemminkin tehnyt hyviä pelejä. Mutta kyllä sitä vaan silti lisähypettyy, kun peli alkaa oikeasti näyttää jo aika muikealta. Harebrained Schemes -studion ensimmäinen yritys oli Shadowrun Returns, lupaava mutta rutiininomainen peli, jossa koettiin kaikki kyberkliseet ja juonenkäänteet ilman inspiraation häivääkään. Huikea hyppy nähtiin Dragonfall -osassa, jossa kässäri nousi 1990-luvun lopun parhaiden roolipelien tasolle ja taistelut kävivät koviksi. Shadowrun Returns kohteelle Steam – The year is 2054. So, on 12/21/12 magic will return, end this world, and wreak holy havoc while starting the next. Ongelmia seurasi. Shadowrun sijoittuu noin vuoteen 2050+. Ihmiset ja metaihmiset, siis peikot, haltiat, kääpiöt, goblinit ja muut Tolkienin satuhahmot yrittävät elää samassa maailmassa, jossa tietotekniikka ja taikuus lyövät kättä. Shadowrun Returnsin oikea tarina on niitä joista tulee hyvä mieli. Tämä peli maistuu enemmän ja enemmän. Nyt pitää saada pari asiaa vielä selville, et peli aukeaa kokonaan. Esim. Mitä nämä siniset, ostettavat asiat ovat? Jotain kykyjä mutta mitä ja The official wiki that gives you all you need to survive in Shadowrun Returns – and create your own adventures! Olisi niin hienoa kirjoittaa ilon kyynelistä märällä näppäimistöllä, kuinka upea peli Shadowrun Returns onkaan; mahtava näyttö yhteisörahoituksen voimasta. Peli, jossa korporaatiot ovat pahoja, rahoitetaan ilman pahoja korporaatioita! Shadowrun on hyvä mutta vähän alisuorittaja.
Sen ongelma on täppäröinti, siis tuleva iPad-versio.
